SendThisFile is now EU Safe Harbor Certified
Today SendThisFile is announcing EU Safe Harbor certification for its secure file transfer platform, demonstrating our global commitment to security and privacy.
The US Department of Commerce developed the Safe Harbor framework in consultation with the EU to address differences between US and EU privacy law, and seeks to prevent accidental information disclosure of customer data.
SendThisFile’s successful EU Safe Harbor certification provides further assurance to customers who transfer data from locations within the 28 EU member states and rely on SendThisFile to closely adhere to both US and European privacy practices.
This certification adds to our comprehensive list of regulatory compliance, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70), Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16 (SSAE16), and Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS 140-2).
EU Safe Harbor certification is available today to all SendThisFile accounts.
