Happy National Small Business Week! There are many classes of small business, from the online entrepreneur to the Main Street brick-and-mortar store. According to the Small Business Association, more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business. That’s a staggering number when you stop and think about it. The health of America’s small business model depends on AND affects everyone, after all, if you don’t own or work for one, you shop at or use the services of a small business.

In a statement from the SBA website, Maria Contreras-Sweet, the head of the US Small Business Administration said, “National Small Business Week is a chance to honor our nation’s 28 million small businesses and renew our commitment to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit that is central to the American experience.”
