National Data Privacy Day
We talk a lot about how the SendThisFile team and technology protect you and your data’s privacy and security, but there can never be enough awareness on the subject of data privacy.
Did you know this Wednesday, January 28, is Data Privacy Day? There are some great resources out there to help you and your employees. One example we like is http://www.staysafeonline.org.
According to StaySafeOnline, “Data Privacy Day began in the United States and Canada in January 2008 as an extension of the Data Protection Day celebration in Europe. Data Protection Day commemorates the January 28, 1981, signing of Convention 108, the first legally binding international treaty dealing with privacy and data protection. Data Privacy Day is now a celebration for everyone, observed annually on Jan. 28.”
